Take 5 bars

Posted a pic of these on my stories and the demand for a recipe was HIGH. These are SO EASY and made with such simple ingredients. I make these every week and store in the freezer, but they never last more than a few days. Honestly I can't even blame Jonah, LOL.

Make them! Play with ratios to make them exactly how you like them, because that is the point of making a candy bar at home after all.

I usually make 6 at a time!

Ingredients:

Dates, 6. Cut in half, flattening the halves with the back of a spoon.

Peanut butter, ~2 teaspoons per candy bar

Pretzels, 1-3 pretzels per candy bar (I like to cram as many as possible in there, all about the salty/crunchy)

Dark chocolate, ~1/3 cup melted in a double boiler.

Flakey salt

Method Prep your dates. Lather 1 teaspoon of peanut butter on each piece of date. Layer on pretzels. Pair up the dates and sandwich them together, give them a little squeeze to mash them together (helps the texture when they freeze!). Pop into freezer for a few minutes to take shape. Pull them out, dunk in chocolate, sprinkle with sea salt and place back into freezer for at least 30 minutes. Eat them and sing a little bit about how much you love them. Store them in the freezer, but let them sit for ~1-2 minutes on the counter before you eat them. Or eat them straight out of the freezer and risk breaking your jaw, you do you.
